Inferno Events

We are a dance music event organisation based in the South-West of the UK, mainly Drum & Bass orientated but also dabble in Breaks & Hip-Hop.

Our Story

Founded by ex-GBH and Pawlett Manor resident DJ’s SK2 (formerly Skitz) and Maestro, we held our first ever Inferno event in 2006 at Flaming Jae’s in Brean and were hailed as a true breath of fresh air by local clubbers. This became an (almost) monthly night and featured some of the very finest up and coming DJ’s on the underground circuit alongside a few local hero’s and a couple of the scenes biggest names.

In 2007 we started putting on a few smaller Bar nights alongside our main events, under the guise of Inferno Sessions but have since knocked these on the head to concentrate on our main events.

We have collaborated with a few other event crews over the years, holding events at the likes of Bristols legendary Trinity Centre and Westlands Arena in Yeovil. We were also involved in the running of possibly one of the biggest Breaks and DnB events never to happen called Breakout West, this was originally a weekend long event based at a Pontins centre in Somerset, then after much hassle and hard work, was moved to the far superior Southport Pontins Centre, only to be cancelled by Pontins themselves a few weeks before the event was due to take place.

Up until its closure in 2010, we were holding regular DnB events at The Perfect 5th in Taunton and were the 1st DnB organisation to bring the likes of Danny Byrd, Sigma and Metrik to Taunton. The closure of The Perfect 5th coincided pretty well with the birth of SK2’s first daughter, so we decided to take some time out of running regular events to concentrate on personal projects.

In 2014 we were invited to host the Drum & Bass takeover in The Dubshed at Sat In A Field Festival and due to its success were asked back in 2015 to run the 1st dedicated Drum & Bass stage at SIAF, The Thunderdome.

Sat In A Field Festival returned after a 2 year break in 2018 and would have seen us back again, this time running the main dance stage but unfortunately the festival was cancelled.

The year is now 2020 and we are planning a series of new events for 2021 and beyond.. Watch this space!!

Before Inferno

As DJ’s we have always been involved in the underground party scene, starting off playing free parties in the early 90’s and going on to hold residencies at infamous Bristol clubs Lakota and The Depot.

In 1996 SK2 (known as Skitz back then) and DJ Tormentor teamed up to form GBH Promotions. Running out of the legendary South-West club Pawlett Manor, GBH started as a small one room Techno night and went on to become one of the major players in the South-West party scene hosting multi-genre and multi-room events all across the South-West with the biggest names in underground dance music gracing the GBH turntables. GBH hosted their last ever event in 2004, but there may be a reunion party in the works.
